NO SUCH THING AS A COINCIDENCE!!

I was recommended this book by a delightful woman I met on a plane ride to New Orleans. We were discussing the way God "speaks" to us in different ways and she said this book discusses how we see patterns or confirmations or thoughts but quickly brush them off as coincidences, when it's really God "winking" at us and giving us direction. I downloaded the book on the plane ride home and finished it by the end of my flight!!!! This book encouraged me to listen to my intuition and recognize that God guides us in ways that are unique. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is seeking to recognize God's voice or who is looking to find confirmation of their "unusual" experiences. It's not just a saying that "everything happens for a reason".

Great to feel better with all the beautiful stories

The tennis player Novak Djokovic recalled in his book SERVE TO WIN when he was a kid and wanted to play tennis and it wasn’t a traditional sport in Serbia “…for the [tennis courts] to be installed across the street where I spent my summers? Some higher power was surely at work”.

Anytime that I read stories like that I remember this book WHEN GOD WINKS. It is packed with lot of stories that are beyond chance or luck. It has three parts:

Part one: Opening your eyes to see the winks,
Part two: Using God winks to enrich your life, and
Part three: Coincidences in all walks of life.

SQuire Rushnell shares anecdotes about him, his friends and people that he interviewed.

I love when people share stories like that. The feeling of being protected and guided is such a relief when I am uncertain getting into the unknown that change brings. It spikes the faith that I am on the right track as I remember my own experiences as well.

As I can remember, it changed my perspective since I was a kid about what can be called impossible. When I was 10 years old I was interested in the music group of the moment and to me it was impossible to watch them beyond TV. Possible was to go to my brother’s baseball practice on weekends and this one in particular we went to a stadium located inside the only airport nearby. As my brother’s friends were telling me to turn around because the group was there I was refusing to do so and look foolish thinking they were lying to me. It was true! They were there! Watching the practice and waiting for their airplane. So anytime that I think something is impossible I always remember that day and what happened.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! I purchased this book after having a few big losses/negative events happen in a row. What this book helped me with was to realize that everything does happen for a reason and that if I looked back at my life introspectively, all of the bad things that happened to me (which really stunk) had positive outcomes/blessings eventually. If you're having a tough time and feel like you need something to help inspire you that it will all be ok, this book is for you!

A Miracle for those in over their head!!!!

I am not a computer expert, in fact I was only good with excel less than a month ago. I could use excel to do everything... so I thought. Recently I have been on the job hunt and I found one that required "strong" Access skills. I have used access, maybe even made a few wizard approved databases. Let me make this clear, I had never done any VBA coding (maybe not even heard of the benefits or even understood it). After a while on this project I realized I was in over my head, and I wanted to walk out the door. My last hope was to find books to walk me through the process. I picked Access 2003 VBA because it Said the SMART METHOD... not because I knew anything about Mike Smart. I started working through some of the excercises, and found that Mike has a way of explaining the process very very to the point. He held my attention, and basically took the fear out of the programing and just brought me to what I needed to know to get my pay check. I had a few problems along the way. I was ready to run away again, and as a last resort I emailed Mike Smart himself. He responded to my question with in 24 hours. He has been working with me to correct the issues. I could not believe it. Here I am in all alone "pretending" to be a programmer and Mike Smart himself helps me out. I have bought many books to teach myself computer skills, but this one is the best. So if you are in a hurry like I was to learn what it takes to get your pay check you better BUY this book! Mike even told me that he is writting more books. So since that is the case, buy this book and email him or post it here what you would like to see him teach "us" about next. I would like a basic everything you need to know about computer repair, maintenance, and preventative maintenance book. I would also like to see a book on Microsoft Office intagration, how to intigrate everything with real world examples. This book is what you need to stand apart on a job hunt, to prepare a database, and just keep you and your company up to date with all the benefits of Access. You might as well learn Access, Microsoft charges us enough for it, and programmers get paid well. I hope he continues to write more books, because maybe just maybe with his help I can become a real programmer... not the pretender I am right now!!

Learn Access 2003 VBA With The Smart Method

Pros - The book offers the opportunity to build an enterprise level application where it can be modified to suit individual needs. I like the fact that it takes you through an entire project so each lesson builds on the previous one, there is no disconnect. Other material teaches in pockets not correlating skills or lessons with one another, this one does an excellent job at interweaving them all.

Cons - It is advertised as a beginner's book but it immediately dives into showing you a skill once and then expecting for you to replicate it under a different scenario almost immediately. If you are not comfortable with access from a database development standpoint this can prove to be frustrating. I would recommend starting with something else like "Access VBA Programming for the absolute beginner" ISBN 1-59200-723-6.

Otherwise the book is a good all around training tool that will help you further knowledge on VBA for applications.

More programming books should be like this one

I own lots of Access books, some good and some not so good. This book is outstanding. I feel as if I am in a classroom taking a step by step course from an excellent teacher.

The only minor problem I have found is that the database that you download from the internet has a couple of minor differences from what is described in the book, but it was not a big problem. The real joy of this book is that it so clearly and easily explains what you are doing and why. I wish more books were written in this format and with such clear, informative instruction.

This book is best suited to those who know the basics of Access and want to move on to more professional programming. It's also good for people like me who know VBA programming to some extent but want a more solid foundation or wish to fill in the gaps.

Physical Therapy Aide Worktext

Love it! This is a great workbook for a beginner in the field of Physical Therapy. It provides great descriptions and photos to explain various rehab techniques. I like the fact that the workbook gives you space to write things down - that save times and doesn't require you to have a bunch of 'sticky notes' in your workbook. Thanks again for a great resource.

This book has so many flaws. First, it may be the only book out there for PT Aide. So everyone has to purchase it. Editing is terrible,many mistakes all around the book. Very expensive ($150.00 new) but isn't worth more than $30.

This book, the second of the Putnam Competition volumes, contains problems with their solutions for the years 1965-1984. Additional solutions are presented for many of the problems. Included is an essay on recollections of the first Putnam Exam by Herbert Robbins, as well as appendices listing the winning teams and students from 1965 through 1984. In 1980, the MAA published the first William Lowell Putnam Mathematical Competition book, covering the contest from 1938 to 1964. In 2002 the third of the Putnam problem books appeared, covering the years 1985 through 2000. Great problems, bad editing

There is no doubt that the Putnam competition is a competition to be admired of. And there is no doubt that the problems given in the competition are great ones and worth to be studied by any student interested in math competitions and other lovers of mathematical problems. Therefore there is great value in owning this book. However, the only effort the editors have placed in making this book is for searching in their offices to find their old manuscripts. Then they passed these manuscripts to the publisher, the Mathematical Association of America (MAA), for printing. The size and type of the fonts, the formating and the overall look of exams and their solutions change throughout the book, almost from year to year.

But not only the editors were sloppy with this book. MAA itself was not careful. It printed the book at different size with respect the previous volume Putnam Math Competition 1938-1964. And then MAA printed the third volume The William Lowell Putnam Mathematical Competition 1985-2000: Problems, Solutions and Commentary (MAA Problem Book Series) 4 millimeters taller than this one. So much for placing the books next to each other in your bookcase. It is really disappointing to see such carelessness for this important competition.

If you are not really crazy to have the books, you can find electronic files of all problems and their solutions (with additional detailed information on the results of the competition) in the two journals `American Mathematical Monthly' and `Mathematics Magazine' published by MAA. Both journals publish a report each year for the past year's competition. The journals are available through the JSTOR project. However, since this requires paid subscriptions, you may have to visit the library of your local college and/or university.

About the Author

Diana Burton is Professor of Education and Director of the Centre for Developmental and Applied Research in Education at the University of Wolverhampton. She was formerly Pro Vice-Chancellor and Professor of Education at Liverpool John Moores University, where she was previously Dean of Education. She worked for many years at Manchester Metropolitan University leading teacher education programmes and was a secondary school teacher before that.

Diana has a Masters and PhD in the field of Educational Psychology. She is the author of a number of books and articles on pupil learning, teacher development, educating children with behavioural, emotional and social disadvantage, citizenship and social justice. She is a fellow of the Royal Academy for the Society of the Arts, and the Higher Education Academy and an active member of the British Education Research Association.

Steve’s research interests are in practitioner research where he has worked with networks of teachers on the development of their classroom evaluations. He has also been involved with the development of Education Studies as a subject in HE. Steve has been chair of the British Education Studies Association and was more recently involved in the review of the Education Studies Subject Benchmarks for QAA.

Steve currently teaches research methods on the master’s in leadership and management and education studies on the combined awards program.

Kaidan pushes me harder into the wall and buries his face in my hair, inhaling the scent of me. He lays his lips against my ear.

“Do I need to teach you a lesson?” His voice is dripping with lust, and every place on my body where he’s touching me radiates heat.

I want to tell him to get off me… He’s a jerk. But that’s not what comes out of my mouth. “It depends what kind of lesson you think I need.”

With one swift movement he twists me around so my back is against the wall. I can barely see him in the dark, but when his lips meet mine, I close my eyes and sink into the warmth of them. He kisses me hard, with a hunger he didn’t have before, plunging his tongue into my mouth, forcing it past my lips.

My heart’s threatening to leap from my chest as I give in, kissing him back. As soon as I do, he pulls back, leaving my mouth hot, bruised.

His hand moves to my lower back, and he pulls me closer, pushing my body into his.

wow Kaidan and Hayley can be a great relationship but they both have baggage Kaidan due to his father and his ex girlfriend who seems to look like Hayley ... then Hayley who is having a hard time in order to get her inheritance she must steal a necklace that once belonged to her father but was given by her father to the Stones in which Hayley's fathers ex girlfriend is now dating Kaidan's father ... and can she get it before her or her brothers lifes end .... and what about Kaidan and what he said though drunk .. but to Hayley will never be something she will unlikely forget .. to find this and more out buy it and read it asap .. this was a ARC review .... and boy was it the edge of your seat type of story cannot wait to read the next book .,

this was an ARC review semi late due to family but better late than never right this will mark my 87th book in the past 3 months almost .
Kaiden and Hayley are back and its even more intense than the last time . their is an arrest and a rape or an almost rape and passion and a kidnapping to find out who is arrested , kidnapped or who is almost raped as well as who steals something buy , read and then review .

Amazing series

OMG this book was incredible. It drew me right in. Poor Hayley fist he father screws her from beyond the grave by denying her inheritance until she recovers a lost family heirloom. Then she meets a hot sexy stranger that's as confusing and frustrating as all hell. Then he father screws her again when his debts are set on Hayley's shoulders. I mean how much can one person handle. I would have locked myself up or ran back to the east coast. Can Hayley figure out the hot and cold Kaidan Stone without losing her heart in the process. And is she safe from her father's past. Will she figure out how to get her inheritance. I am dying to get the answers. This story pulls you in and your hooked to every last word. Then you screaming no please don't end yet I want more

I am loving this series so much. Hayley lets Kaidan talk her into a second chance. And it's a doozy of an chance. Can she figure out what is behind the mask he wear for the world or will he break her heart. And what is with these crazy women. And now what will she do about her brother. I can't wait to see what Hayley does next.

Stolen desire
OMG.. Twist after twist. This story (and series) is filled with so much drama, excitement, romance, and chaos you'll be biting your nails and pulling out your hair. Hayley is still tring to figure out how to pay her father's debt and save her and her brother from these goons. All the while she's dodging paps and trying to find a way to make money. But of course nothing ever goes as we plan does it. As Hayley and Kaidan's romance heats up will their secrets tear them apart. This is another edge of your seat installment to the Stone brothers series.

Kaidan and Hayley

I read all four of the individual books as they came out and they are absolutely AMAZING. You will definitely be happy that you picked up this bundle.

In this first book, we meet Hayley Wade, daughter of the lead singer of rock band Seventh Inferno. She has just recently learned, via a ScandalLust article, that her father is dead and she is waiting to find out about her inheritance. She is devastated to learn of the condition she has to meet if she wants to get her inheritance before she turns fourty. She might be naive, but she picks up on the smarminess of her lawyer.

Then, as she is leaving the lawyers office, she runs into Kaidan. He grew up surrounded by big time stars due to his Father and never wanted to be in the spotlight. But, once he makes the Lust List, he becomes America's newest celebrity. Strangely enough, neither of them know anything about who the other is. She thinks that the paparazzi is there for her and he helps her get away from them. He thinks she is playing coy with him, not knowing that she really doesn't know anything about him - after all she grew up on the East Coast from the age of thirteen.

Although this book is somewhat short (approximately 130 pages), there is a lot of ground covered and we get plenty of background story on the two main characters in this book. They both seem to be very dysfunctional, so I am looking forward to the next book in the series, to find out how he rebounds from his major screw up and if Hayley is able to resolve the drug dealing debts her father left her with before she ends up dead.
