I am writing this
By W. Michelle Davis
I am writing this review and can barely see the screen from crying so hard. Logically I know these are fictional characters and I don't REALLY know Tammy, Monett, Moet, Rick and Hakeem but that doesn't seem to matter to my emotions. I literally feel as if I am grieving the lose of a family member. I guess this is a testament of how powerful a writer Jahquel J is. OK let me get myself together so I can post a productive review. From the moment book 1 ended I was anxiously anticipating the sequel. I think I was borderline stalking Facebook looking for a release date. The author, Ms Jahquel is a phenomenal creator. And yes I am saying CREATOR because she literally took her pen sculpted an entire world of characters that will have you looking sideways at anyone who tries to tell you they aren't real!!! She was able to rope us into this world effortlessly without us knowing that each word we read we were acquiring emotional stock in the character's lives. Big Mama reminded me of the typical grandmother who wanted her family together at any cost and instead of allowing things to fall where they may she was determined to fix it. That's the difference between the family dynamic of yesteryear and the families today. It brought a nostalgic tear to my eye reminiscing on my grandmother. That in a nutshell is what sets Ms. Jahquel apart from many other writers in this genre she has no problem with infusing old world values with the new and I appreciate that. Now Ms. Moet is a pistol. Its OK to be independent and even be spoiled, but she was SELFISH!!! She wasn't open with communication with Zyaire and because she thought what she was doing was for the betterment of them she automatically wanted him to fall in line with her wishes. Early in the book she gave him a lecture about a relationship being about compromise. It seems as if what she really meant was he needed to compromise and bend to her will and they would be good to go. I understand being high risk when you are pregnant but she didn't give him any other alternatives besides intercourse. If she was such a freak I know she had a few tricks up her sleeve. Obviously her mother never sat her down and gave her the lesson what one woman won't do another one will. IJS!!! That Monett needs to grow a backbone. I honestly think she needs some type of counseling because to still shield the person who basically raped you while y'all were together, ran you off the road while pregnant, and then he wants to file for joint custody???? She wasn't thinking clearly and to be honest to me she is still acting like a victim and standing up and fighting back. I hope to see additional growth for her in the next installment. As far as her relationship with Hakeem I love them together I just hope they are strong enough to withstand the battle that they are about to face. With both of their idiosyncrasies and faults they were still very likeable characters. Normally in books the characters have characteristics that make you hate or love them but here Jahquel humanized her characters. We love them but we see their faults as well. Overall this book is absolute PERFECTION!!! I can not stress enough how remiss you will feel if you miss out on this series. You know how Bjishop T.D. Jakes tells us to Get Ready, Get Ready???? Well I'm stealing his line Get Ready, Get Ready, Get Ready to enjoy a literary ride like no other and I promise you that you will not be disappointed! Great Job Ms. Jahquel

Good
By Terra
Moet and Monette are two spoiled and selfish sisters who both have good men, but they are not mature enough for their relationships. Moet wants to control everything and when she doesn't get her way or feels slighted, she behaves very childishly. Monette has a good man who entered into a relationship with her while she was pregnant by another man and is willing to raise her child as his own, but when she gets mad she throws out the fact that the child is not his and he has no say so when it comes to her. Both of these girls have some growing to do. It will be interesting to see what happens in book three.

Wow so many secrets and twists inside of this book.I love some Zane n Moet they are so cute together.I can't believe Zane's ex was that trifling like let it go already. Then for Blake and Ki to do wat they did was messed up.Hakeem and Monett are cute also,I'm glad she is over Jonathan.Im pissed she didn't really tell about the accident.Omg poor Tammy she just been going thru it from her mother,Blake and then her husband. That ending was way too much for me.Im pissed at Zane right now hopefully he ain't being stupid
