OK book for the basics, and good for the price

I bought this book as a reference for earthquake engineering. Overall the book is very good in the details presented. However, the book doesn't do a good job explaining concepts (just a lot of math/equations).
I've found a few typographical errors throughout the book. Nothing major, but a distraction when reading the book.
